Dean of Thi-Qar Technical College Meets Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers in Baghdad

The Dean of Thi-Qar Technical College, Prof. Dr. Hussein Tukan Abdullah, met today, Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in the capital Baghdad, with the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Hamid Naeem Al-Ghazi.

During the meeting, discussions were held regarding the ownership transfer of the land allocated to Thi-Qar Technical College, considering it one of the strategic files that contribute to providing a stable educational environment and support future expansion plans of the academic institution.

The Dean stressed that resolving the issue of land ownership would grant the college greater opportunities to develop its infrastructure, establish new buildings and academic departments, meet the needs of students and faculty, and help keep pace with scientific and technological advancements.

For his part, Dr. Hamid Naeem Al-Ghazi praised the role played by the Southern Technical University and its colleges in serving the community and preparing scientific competencies that support the labor market, affirming the Secretariat-General’s keenness to support educational projects and overcome obstacles facing them.

This meeting comes as part of the College Dean’s efforts to strengthen cooperation with state institutions and his commitment to following up on issues that serve students and develop the educational process in Thi-Qar Governorate.
