As part of efforts to strengthen scientific and academic collaboration among Iraqi universities, the Dean of Thi-Qar Technical College, Prof. Dr. Hussein Tuqan Abdullah, visited the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad today, Thursday, August 21, 2025, where he was received by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul-Majid.
The visit aimed to discuss avenues of cooperation between the two colleges in academic, research, and engineering fields, as well as the exchange of scientific expertise to contribute to the development of curricula and the support of applied programs that serve students and meet labor market needs.
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Hussein Tuqan Abdullah stressed the importance of building strategic partnerships between technical and engineering colleges, particularly in the areas of practical training, joint projects, and the development of research that addresses issues of sustainable development in Iraq.
For his part, the Dean of the College of Engineering welcomed the visit, expressing his pride in the strong academic ties that connect Iraqi universities, and affirming his commitment to opening new horizons of cooperation that enhance the standing of both institutions and support the scientific and educational progress of our beloved country.
