Thi-Qar Technical College has launched the voluntary initiative “My School” in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The initiative aims to support orphaned and underprivileged students at the start of the new academic year.
The initiative includes providing essential supplies such as clothing and stationery for deserving students through contributions from universities, thereby helping to create a fair educational environment and granting children the opportunity to begin their school year with reassurance and hope.
The initiative was implemented by the Head of the Student Activities Unit, Mr. Hassan Tarish Taghi, with the participation of the Dean of Thi-Qar Technical College, Prof. Dr. Hussein Tukan Abdullah, and the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hassan Talib Hashem.
The Dean emphasized that this initiative embodies the values of social solidarity and humanity, praising the efforts of those who carried it out and appreciating the contributions of the teaching and administrative staff in making it a success, reflecting the university’s role in supporting society and providing care for needy students.
