Thi Qar Technical College, one of the formations of the Southern Technical University, participated in the activities of the Oil Research Projects Exhibition, which was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Oil and hosted by Thi Qar Oil Company, with the participation of several academic institutions and entities concerned with the oil sector.

The college’s participation came under the direction and direct support of the Dean of Thi Qar Technical College, Professor Dr. Hussein Toukan Abdullah, emphasizing the importance of strengthening cooperation between academic institutions and the oil sector, and supporting applied research projects related to labor market requirements.

A number of lecturers and students from the Department of Electromechanical Systems Engineering Technologies participated in the exhibition, presenting a distinguished collection of research and engineering projects that offered innovative technical solutions contributing to the service and development of the oil industry, reflecting the scientific and practical skills possessed by the college students.

This participation comes within the framework of Thi Qar Technical College’s commitment to showcasing its scientific and research outputs and opening horizons for joint cooperation with governmental institutions and national companies, in a way that contributes to developing students’ capabilities and linking their research projects to the real needs of the oil sector.
