The Council of Thi Qar Technical College held its thirteenth session for the 2025–2026 academic year on Sunday, 19 July 2026, under the chairmanship of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hussein Tawkān Abdullah, with the attendance of all Council members. The meeting was convened as part of the College’s ongoing efforts to monitor and enhance academic and administrative performance in line with the directives of the Southern Technical University.
At the beginning of the session, the Dean emphasized the importance of maintaining the distinguished level of performance that contributed to the successful completion of the first-round examinations. He directed all academic and administrative staff to begin intensive preparations for the second-round examinations by ensuring the readiness of all technical and logistical requirements, with the aim of maintaining the smooth conduct of the examination process and providing a supportive environment for students.
The Council also reviewed several key topics aimed at enhancing institutional performance, including:

Enhancing Academic Performance: Developing qualitative plans to improve the educational outcomes of the scientific departments and strengthen research quality and academic excellence.

Preparations for the New Academic Year: Discussing the necessary arrangements to provide an appropriate educational environment and upgrade infrastructure in preparation for the upcoming academic year, in accordance with the vision of the Southern Technical University.

Supporting Scientific Activities: Encouraging faculty members to actively participate in specialized conferences and academic seminars to strengthen the College’s scientific presence and research engagement.
