The Dean of Thi-Qar Technical College, Prof. Dr. Hussein Tuqan Abdullah, met on Sunday, November 2, 2025, with the Director General of the Department of Research and Development at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Lubna Khamees Mahdi, to follow up on the establishment of postgraduate programs at the college.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the procedures related to launching postgraduate programs in technical specializations and reviewed ways to meet the required scientific and administrative standards.

Prof. Dr. Abdullah emphasized the college’s commitment to enhancing its academic and research level in line with the vision of the Southern Technical University and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, aiming to provide advanced study opportunities that help prepare qualified scientific cadres to support the progress of higher education in Iraq.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed their keenness to maintain cooperation and communication to achieve common goals and advance the reality of higher education in the country.
