Thi-Qar Technical College Celebrates Iraqi National Day in a Patriotic Atmosphere
In conjunction with the Iraqi National Day, the Women’s Affairs Unit at Thi-Qar Technical College organized a celebration on Thursday, October 2, 2025, to mark this national occasion. The event began with the playing of the Iraqi national anthem and the recitation of Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of the homeland.
The Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Hussein Twkan Abdullah, delivered a speech in which he extended his warmest congratulations and blessings to the Iraqi people on this cherished occasion. He emphasized that this day commemorates Iraq’s independence from the British Mandate in 1932 and its admission to the League of Nations as a free and independent state, noting that this anniversary is a source of pride, honor, and joy for all generations.
The celebration witnessed wide participation from the college’s students and staff, who expressed their love and pride for their country in a patriotic atmosphere that reflected the values of belonging and loyalty to beloved Iraq.
