The Dean of Thi-Qar Technical College, Prof. Dr. Hussein Tukan Abdullah, met today, Wednesday, August 20, 2025, with the Head of the Thi-Qar Reconstruction Fund, Engineer Mohammed Jawad Al-Zaidi, under the direct support and supervision of the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Hamid Naeem Al-Ghazi.

The meeting discussed mechanisms for financing Thi-Qar Technical College and supporting it with service and construction projects, particularly since it is a newly established college in need of integrated infrastructure that keeps pace with the requirements of higher education and meets the needs of students and faculty members.

The Dean emphasized that providing the necessary support for the college represents a fundamental step in developing its educational environment and laying a solid foundation for its future growth. He noted that the college seeks to be a comprehensive educational environment that serves Thi-Qar Governorate and contributes to preparing the scientific and technical competencies required by the labor market.

For his part, Engineer Mohammed Jawad Al-Zaidi expressed the Reconstruction Fund’s readiness to provide the necessary support to the college within the Fund’s developmental plans for the governorate, affirming that higher education is a priority in the projects overseen by the Fund due to its pivotal role in serving society.

This meeting comes within the framework of joint coordination between the Deanery of Thi-Qar Technical College and relevant state institutions to accelerate the implementation of strategic projects that will contribute to advancing the educational and service reality in the governorate.
