The Dean of Thi Qar Technical College, Professor Dr. Hussein Tawkan Abdullah, welcomed an academic committee from the Presidency of the Southern Technical University, headed by Professor Dr. Walid Abdul Jalil, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs. The committee also included Professor Dr. Aqeel Yousif, Director of the Department of Postgraduate Studies, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ayad Abdul Khaliq, Director of the Department of Scientific Affairs at the University Presidency.

The visit was conducted as part of the university’s field inspection program aimed at monitoring academic and scientific activities and strengthening institutional performance development.

During the meeting, the Dean warmly welcomed the committee members, and discussions focused on several key issues related to the college’s academic environment. The meeting also reviewed ways to enhance the educational and research processes in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the vision of the Southern Technical University to achieve quality assurance and academic accreditation standards.

Professor Dr. Hussein Tawkan Abdullah emphasized the College Deanship’s commitment to providing all necessary requirements to facilitate the work of academic committees. He also praised the University Presidency’s continuous support for its colleges and its close follow-up of their academic plans, highlighting its significant role in improving academic performance and achieving institutional excellence.
