The Dean of Thi Qar Technical College, Prof. Dr. Hussein Tawkan Abdullah, visited the Thi Qar Water Directorate on Thursday, August 27, 2026, where he met with the Director of Thi Qar Water, Legal Engineer Ahmed Aziz Al-Saeedi, in the presence of his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen joint cooperation between the College and the Thi Qar Water Directorate, as well as a number of issues related to the development of water infrastructure and benefiting from the scientific, engineering, and consultancy expertise available to both sides.

The two sides also discussed mechanisms for enhancing practical and field training for college students by providing training opportunities at projects and sites affiliated with the Thi Qar Water Directorate. This would contribute to developing students’ skills and linking their academic knowledge with practical applications.

The Director of Thi Qar Water expressed his full support for cooperation with the College and its students in areas that contribute to the advancement of the educational process and serve the community.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Dean expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Director of Thi Qar Water for his warm reception and cooperation, emphasizing the importance of maintaining communication and coordination between the two sides in a manner that strengthens integration between academic and governmental institutions and serves the public interest.
