Department of Electromechanical Systems Engineering Technologies Organizes a Scientific Visit to Al-Nasiriyah Combined Power Plant

Under the guidance of the Dean of Thi Qar Technical College, Prof. Dr. Hussein Tuwakan Abdullah, and within the framework of strengthening cooperation between state institutions, as well as in line with the commitment to equipping students with practical skills and linking theoretical knowledge with field application, the Department of Electromechanical Systems Engineering Technologies organized a scientific visit to Al-Nasiriyah Combined Power Plant.

The delegation included the Head of the Department, Assist. Prof. Dr. Wared Sayel Wared, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Khafif Ubaid, a faculty member of the department, and Assist. Lecturer Asl Karim Hassan, in addition to students of the second and fourth academic stages.

The delegation was received by a number of engineers from the power plant, who provided a comprehensive explanation of the plant’s operating mechanism, its main components, and its importance within the electrical power generation system, as it is considered one of the modern and advanced plants that relies on sophisticated technologies in operation and production.

At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation expressed its sincere thanks and appreciation to the administration and staff of Al-Nasiriyah Combined Power Plant for their warm reception and for the valuable scientific information they provided, which contributed to enhancing students’ knowledge and broadening their practical understanding.
