Dean of Thi Qar Technical College Participates in the Meeting of the Committee of Engineering
The Dean of Thi Qar Technical College, Professor Dr. Hussein Tukan Abdullah, participated in the meeting of the Committee of Engineering Technologies Deans, hosted by Northern Technical University in the city of Mosul. The meeting was attended by the President of Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alaa Al-Attar, the Chairman of the Deans Committee, Professor Dr. Ali Nasser, and a number of deans from technical and engineering colleges.
The meeting addressed several important topics, including reviewing the organizational structure of the Committee of Engineering Technologies Deans, monitoring the establishment of new departments and colleges in both public and private universities, discussing postgraduate programs and committee activities, reviewing the results of the comprehensive assessment examination for the academic year 2025–2026, and examining challenges and proposals aimed at enhancing the performance of examination committees.
The participants also discussed mechanisms for monitoring the completion of academic curricula in specialized colleges, as well as the responsibilities of the Deans Committees and ways to strengthen their role in supporting the quality of technical and engineering education.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Professor Dr. Hussein Tukan Abdullah was honored with a shield and a certificate of appreciation by the President of Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alaa Al-Attar, in addition to a certificate of appreciation from the Chairman of the Deans Committee, Professor Dr. Ali Nasser. The recognition was awarded in appreciation of his outstanding efforts within the committee, particularly his role in supervising the comprehensive assessment examination, his active participation in establishment committees, and his contributions to supporting academic and technical development.
The Dean affirmed that this recognition reflects appreciation for collective work and academic responsibility and serves as a motivation to continue efforts aimed at enhancing the quality of technical and engineering education and serving educational institutions across the country.
