Under the patronage of the Dean of Thi Qar Technical College, Professor Dr. Hussein Tukan Abdullah, and in conjunction with the celebration of the World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, observed on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, the Women’s Affairs Unit and the Human Rights Unit at the college organized a wide-ranging awareness campaign.

The campaign involved the dissemination of awareness posters throughout the college campus, aiming to promote environmental awareness among students and staff, strengthen the concepts of sustainable agriculture as a strategic solution to climate change challenges, and highlight the importance of preserving water resources and reducing land degradation to ensure a safe and sustainable environmental future.

The campaign activities were directly supervised and organized by Ms. Eman Karim Hussein and Ms. Eman Adnan Sharif, with the active participation of several college staff members. Through this initiative, participants emphasized the role of academic institutions in addressing global issues and contributing to the achievement of sustainable development within the local community.
