The Technical College of Thi Qar Holds Its Regular Council Meeting for January

The Technical College of Thi Qar held its regular council meeting for the month of January, chaired by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hussein Toukan Abdullah, to discuss a number of important academic and administrative issues, most notably:

  • Emphasizing the follow-up on the progress of the final examinations for the first semester.

  • Emphasizing the completion of the work of the examination committees and strict adherence to examination management regulations.

  • Approving the names of the scientific and engineering departments in the college in accordance with program accreditation requirements.

  • Directing the completion of the semester reports for faculty members, including their scientific and research activities, the achievement rates of curriculum contents, and proposed updates.

  • Discussing the proposal to establish an electronic platform submitted by Lecturer Noor Faleh to evaluate the scientific outputs of faculty members. During the meeting, the platform was presented, showcasing faculty efforts in training courses, research, and seminars through analytical data and accurate statistics that support monitoring and informed decision-making.

The idea of the project was proposed to address the reliance on the paper-based system, which causes delays in evaluating academic efforts and restricts the process to the end of the academic year.

This platform represents a genuine step toward digital transformation within the university and provides a modern, transparent system for managing and evaluating academic activities.
