Thi Qar Technical College Holds the Sixth Session Meeting for Late December

Thi Qar Technical College held its sixth session meeting for late December, chaired by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Hussein Towkan Abdullah, to discuss a number of important academic and administrative issues. Foremost among these were the preparations for the final examinations of the first semester, in order to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations and the provision of an appropriate environment for students.

During the meeting, the Council emphasized the necessity of announcing students’ final continuous assessment scores on the notice boards of the academic departments. It also stressed the importance of discussing examination management instructions and invigilation procedures within departmental council meetings, in order to ensure unified procedures and well-organized examination processes.

The Council also underscored the importance of clearly explaining examination instructions to students by posting them on notice boards or through approved electronic groups, which would contribute to enhancing students’ compliance with examination rules and regulations.

The Dean directed that examination questions be submitted in three versions, accompanied by model answers, ensuring that they are clear and comprehensive, cover the course syllabus, and reflect a fair distribution of marks in line with academic standards.

The meeting also included the discussion of several requests related to student affairs, in addition to reviewing an academic promotion application for one of the college’s faculty members in accordance with the approved administrative and academic procedures.
