The Accounting Techniques Department at Thi-Qar Technical College organized a workshop on Thursday, November 6, 2025, titled “How to Conduct Bibliometric Analysis and Systematic Review in Scientific Research.” The workshop was delivered by Dr. Mushtaq Yousif Al-Hasnawi, a lecturer at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Thi-Qar.

The workshop covered the concept of bibliometric analysis and its importance in evaluating scientific output, in addition to the mechanisms of preparing a systematic review and its role in improving the quality of academic research. The presenter also reviewed the most prominent tools and software used in bibliometric analysis and methods of employing them in modern studies.

The workshop was attended by the Dean of Thi-Qar Technical College, Prof. Dr. Hussein Tuqan Abdullah, along with several scientific department heads and staff members, as part of the college’s efforts to strengthen researchers’ skills and develop research capabilities in line with the standards of rigorous scientific research.

At the conclusion of the workshop, the Dean presented a letter of appreciation to Dr. Mushtaq Yousif Al-Hasnawi in recognition of his distinguished efforts and active contribution to the success of the scientific event.

The workshop concluded with several recommendations, the most important of which were encouraging researchers to use bibliometric analysis in evaluating scientific output and adopting systematic review as a standard tool in academic research to ensure accuracy, quality, and innovation in scientific outcomes.
